He's done a great job "energizing his base" this year, but what if he can't back up his talk? Does his leash get REALLY short? Or do the fans give him the same acclimation period that they'd give a coach who didn't run his mouth?

I'm torn. On one hand, I think the cavalier mentality and comments has endeared himself to UT fans regardless of this year's results. On the other, I feel like he's playing with fire.

To me that's a non-issue...talk or not, if he doesn't win, he's gone. The talk just makes him look like a fool if he can't back it up, but it won't accellerate the process IMO.

The bigger question is: "What if he DOES back it up?" How hard will it be to listen to him run his mouth then?

I just don't see him being able to back it up. SOS talked trash, but he learned how to win first.

RT, I agree, I think UT and AU will be better than a lot of people are thinking. AU will benefit with Todd as starter b/c of his experience and a healthy arm. Is UT looking at having the same guy at QB?

Who wins that Au/UT game?

Good question? I think it will be a great game. I'll be there!!! Hopefully, not as painful to watch as last years game. I think Todd as the starter for AU gives us an advantage, but UT has the advantage on the defensive side of the ball. AU has a good D also. I think AU wins 23-20. I know, I know homer pick. Ask me the week before and I may have a different answer?
