How do you rate the SEC? and your picks for the weekend?
SEC EASTFlorida - as expected with their first 2 OOC games, now time for SEC, will win East barring Tebow injury, but even then are good enough on D to keep most SEC games close.
Sorry Vols, UF wins by at least 25 42-13
UGA - came out of the gate strong versus OSU, but then stunk it up. Seemed to have played a lot better offensively against Gamecocks. I think UGA has a good team, but still stick to what I originally thought about them for the year, 2-4 losses
UGA pulls out a close win @ Arky on Saturday 24-21
UT - Crompton appears to be picking up where he left off last year. Make UT a passing team and you beat them. Defensively they have looked ok, still think they are gonna have 3-5 losses on the year. Maybe time to try out a true freshman or the backup QB, but Kiffin seems old school about sticking with QB.
UT goes down hard in Gainesville 42-13
South Carolina - Barely pulled out one of the most boring games I have ever watched, 2nd only to the slug fest known as the 2008 AU/MSU game. But USC rebounded in the game versus UGA showing some life on offense or is UGAs D just that bad?
SC should have easy time with Florida Atlantic 35-10
Kentucky - UK looked impressive against Miami (OH), well, as much as you against against UM (OH).. Good offense performance, stout D.
UK crushes rival L'ville 38-13
Vandy - Took care of WCU, and seemed to have played LSU somewhat tough for awhile, typical Vandy. Will probably pull a couple of upsets in SEC play.
VU loses to Miss St. 20-17
SEC WESTMiss St - I was some what impressed with the speed on D, but they still have a ways to go top to bottom to be more competitive in the SEC race. They do have some playmakers on offense. They could be dangerous later in the year and into next year.
I hope MSU can represent against GT, but after my Tigers gashed them I don't know if they can stop the 3 headed monster at GT? going with the upset MSU 24-23
Ole Miss - I wasn't that impressed after watching their opening game against Memphis. Of course, they will give SE Louisiana a thrashing. Ole Miss has the personnel to be a solid team. Question is if they live up to the hype.
Ole Miss throttles SE Louisiana 38-6
Arkansas - I haven't watched the Hogs play this year yet, but I know they were starting to play well last year. From looking at stats (albeit against Missouri St) it seems mallet has plugged in to be a good QB, something the Hogs have not had in a long time. They will have a test this coming Saturday with a showdown with the UGA Dawgs. Arky is one team that is poised to make a a little bit of noise in the SEC.
Tough loss to UGA 24-21
LSU - After relatively close games against UW and Vandy, I think the LSU Tigers have a good team that showed improvement in defense from game 1 to 2.
destroys La- Lafayette 42-6
Bama - I was impressed with bama sticking with it against VT, showing a solid rushing attack and strong D. I also saw the first half meddling with FIU last week. I think bama has a good team, just not all that that some thought, but a very good D.
Bama manhandles North Texas...38-3
Auburn - I'm going to try not to be a big homer here, but I am excited about what this offense has shown these first 2 games, especially against MSU. I was afraid we were done for when MSU blocked the punt and scored, but Todd and the offense marched it right back down the field. Amazingly I am not concerned about the offense, but the the special teams (not FG kicker) and defense have me concerned.
The Tigers host WVU this week. I think this one could be a shootout, which suprisingly I am ok with, weird I know!

I think the Tigers win this one, shocker huh? 42-20, close 1st half, but wear the WVU D down in the 2nd half.
